Weiss GWE as well as BDK have over 30 years of experience in cleanroom technology. The two companies will operate under the joint name Weiss Pharmatechnik GmbH from 1 July 2015.
“The products and services of the two companies are very well matched. We therefore expect numerous benefits and synergy effects from the merger,” explains Bernd Weber, designated managing director of the new Weiss Pharmatechnik GmbH. “We will be able to offer our customers a comprehensive product portfolio and a countrywide service from one source in the future.” Bernd Weber has already been managing director of Weiss GWE and BDK for five years and will become the sole managing director of Weiss Pharmatechnik GmbH from 1 July 2015. The second managing director of Weiss GWE and BDK, Wolfgang König, will retire on 30 June 2015 after 33 years in the management of the company.
Weiss Pharmatechnik GmbH will be one company with two locations in Hude near Bremen and Sonnenbühl in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The headquarters of Weiss Pharmatechnik will be in Hude. The facility in Sonnenbühl will continue to plan, produce and sell BDK products. “I am looking forward to the new challenges brought about by the merger,” says Bernd Weber. “For our employees, only a few internal processes and the computer systems will change. We are explicitly not planning to downsize.”
The current contacts for customers of Weiss GWE and BDK will remain the same. The proven products with the brand names WIBOjekt® und WIBObarrier® will be retained. The products from Sonnenbühl will also keep their well-known brand name BDK. New is the service hotline which serves both locations and will be available around the clock at +49 4484 189 110.
