WIBObarrier® Lab Containment实验室围阻技术的智能化使其可以仅使用一套WIBObarrier®系统而接连实施多种实验室流程，例如称重、制粒、过滤、干燥、混合、压片和包衣
每种实验室流程单元或两种流程单元的组合均安置在一个单独的移动式工作台上，可以方便地移动到洁净室区域内。由于这种技术，所需的洁净室区域显著减小，而且仅在实际使用时才需要划定洁净室区域。这意味着空间的节约。现在，一条完整的过程链（例如制粒）可以仅用配备有出自Glatt的实验室围阻技术的单套WIBObarrier®系统来实现。为了尽可能降低清洁开支，工艺设备的控制在屏障系统之外进行。
WIBObarrier® LAB Containment实验室围阻技术现有三种配置可供选择：
- 作为完全开放系统(OCS)
- 作为带有滑动玻璃面板的开放系统(OCS plus)
- 作为带有前面板的封闭系统(CCS)
